Laura Carolan is a student at the National College of Art and Design who is currently finishing up her teacher training and will transition back to her painting studio/

This coming year she intends to focus her craft on the theme of identity, focus her research on the idea of how we process and develop and respond to  stimuli through emphasis on psychological phenomena such as 'deja vu' and 'deja Reve', and translate her ideas through experimentation with media and portraiture through bold and harsh choices of colour.

Laura's studio work and her approach to teaching methodologies tend to overlap and correlate. With her research and studio practice being so concerned with the idea of how our minds develop and grow, with emphasis on psychological theories such as Deja vu and Deja Reve, this truly allows Laura to approach her teaching practice in that same process; focus on the moulding of the mind and soul, and keeping in mind the impact others, like educators, can have on a person.

Attached below are her CV, a compilation of references from past school placements, and accreditations.
