In April 2019, as part of a Team teaching placement, we as education students were asked to complete a side project called 'Artist Mentoring' where senior cycle students had the opportunity to partake in extra art classes and explore their options career wise.  Katie and myself worked to plan a simplistic yet detailed unit based on one's identity, which we explored through mono-printing and painting techniques, asking students to question the concept of a portrait and introducing them to artists beyond the senior cycle art history curriculum that would inspire them.
